Tof Théâtre

TOF Théâtre is a Belgian company founded in Brussels in 1987, spurred on by the explosive success of its first show, Le tour du bloc. Created and directed by Alain Moreau, the company introduces audiences of all ages to the art of contemporary puppetry.

An adept of reduced realism, described as offbeat or crazy, as heterogeneous as it is unclassifiable, TOF Théâtre creates shows that tour in Belgium and abroad. It makes unlimited use of a variety of artistic forms: theater, music, puppetry and fairground arts, and is sometimes aimed at young audiences, sometimes at adults and sometimes at families.

He creates for the stage and for the street, taking his art to spaces both dedicated and not dedicated to culture, invading venues and festivals… It’s aimed at seasoned professionals and informed citizens, but also at ordinary people, those who don’t cross the real or virtual thresholds of culture.

Every year since 2014, TOF has organized the MAboule, Marionnettes et Arts associés Festival. The wacky rendezvous of contemporary puppetry, object theater and fairground antics that takes place in December in Genappe. www.maboule.be
