A Tof Théatre creation for the public space!
“A crazy, joyful and nostalgic show, all the more touching because Alain Moreau’s puppets, as always, exude a real sense of humanity”. Laurence Bertels – La Libre Belgique
Gaby and Antoine are two retired people on the go. In a square, in a park or on the edge of a wood, they set up their trailer in a cheerful mess to present a funny show of their own, recounting the misfortunes of two residents in a retirement home, determined to go to the wall to taste the flavors of life again, renew social contacts and… party! party!
Somewhere between a funfair and a street show, their aim is clear: to create encounters, to reweave that confiscated intergenerational bond.
What’s more, Gaby and Antoine are outstanding DJs, and this warm encounter ends on the dance floor with a spirited spin on 45 rpm vinyls carefully chosen to suit the day’s audience!
IN ENGLISH:
A show featuring life-sized and other smaller puppets, followed by a DJ set.
“A quirky, uplifting and nostalgic show, all the more touching by the fact that Alain Moreau’s puppets radiate a real sense of humanity“. Laurence Bertels – La Libre Belgique.
Gaby & Antoine are 2 joyful senior citizens. They merrily pull up their trailer on a square, in a park or in the clearing of a wood where they present an amusing show about their generation, portraying the troublesome adventures of two residents in a retirement home. They are determined to run away to taste the flavour of life again, renew social contacts and … party.
Between carnival and street performance, our heroes long to meet new people and reconnect with their stolen intergenerational relationship. Gaby and Antoine are fantastic DJs. Their heart-warming adventures finish with rollicking moves on the dancefloor, to the sound of carefully selected vinyl singles for the public of the day.
